Roots
This 3-dimensional wall hanging is created using the macramé technique, featuring an intricate design created with cotton yarn in shades of green, beige, and brown. Inspired by trees it represents the idea that there is a much to a tree underground as above. The upper portion is a complex pattern with knots and woven sections, creating a textured, layered effect. The strings hang down loosely towards the bottom, forming long, dangling tassels that add an element of fluidity to the design. The central section is one-dimensial compared to the curved and 3-dimensial sections on each side. The overall impression of the piece is organic and earthy, with a rustic and natural aesthetic. Made from recycled cotton from the garment industry with no extra dye added. It is ready to hang.
Sunset
In creating this textile piece, I harnessed the vibrant spirit of expressionism, weaving raw energy and emotion into every knot. Rich cotton hues meld in a dance of texture and color, designed to evoke the warmth and power of a setting sun. This artwork isn't just a visual experience—it's a tactile symphony meant to infuse your space with a dynamic, soul-stirring ambiance. I use cotton cord made from recycled clothing, so no extra dye is added.
All Wrapped Up
